Metacreator Beta Updaters

Updaters for beta version 4.1.7 are available here. To use any of these updates, you must first have purchased a version of Metacreator 2.0 or later, and installed it on your computer. Buy Metacreator.

Install the Updates

1. Exit Metacreator if it is running, and close any other open documents in the Metacreator folder.
2. Download the Metacreator Update Downloader application. Save it in a covenient location.
3. Run the Metacreator Update Downloader.
4. Check the Beta Version checkbox.
5. Follow the instructions in the Update Downloader.

If you attempt to install the new version of the game system template in the same directory as the old version of the application, Setup will warn you. Do not install a newer game system template with an older application -- the template will not work with an older application.

Each updater must be able to find the previously installed version of the application or template. When the updater runs it will look for the the application in the Metacreator installation folder kept in the registry. After the updater find the previous version, it will run the installer. You may change the name of the folder in Setup if you wish to install the beta in a different directory.
